about

Now for something a bit different. Takin' Off is a pop, summery Nu-Disco gem which we fell in love with the first time we heard it. Featuring catchy vocals and slick Indie-Dance-meets-house-music production, this is also the debut release from new French band Palmer. Did we say summer? To do the track justice we have enlisted the solid remixing talent of hit maker and man-of-the-moment Miguel Campbell (Hot Creations).

Having just released his new “Memoirs” album on Outcross Records, Mr Campbell gives the track the bounce and funk of his signature sound and turns it into an instant Nu-Disco summer smash. The 2nd remix is a dub by label boss Giom who takes the track to a darker territory that will work a treat for those 3am moments. Last but not least, our good friend and occasional Roisin Murphy guitar player Yila (Sunday Best) offers us a totally different take that showcases his unique style and musicianship.
